The role and function of Marlena Art

We transform space with a Mural. We design two and three dimensional artwork to your specifications and apply them to a surface of your choice.

In conjunction with you, Marlena Art will create a detailed plan of your project. The plan will be subject to your approval before any painting has started.

We provide an organised, methodical approach to your project. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide clear, comfortable interaction with our customers. It is necessary for us to understand your themes and messages so we can communicate them visually. We work with you to bring life to your ideas and space.

Materials are determined by the surface you need painted. We choose the most hardwearing and light fast paints that are appropriate. Surfaces we can paint on include but are not limited to, gyprock, brick, cement, metals, wood, masonite, canvas and plaster. A variety of other materials can be incorporated into your mural to add dimension and texture.

Our projects are designed to allow minimal disruption to your premises. Our materials and equipment are removed at the end of each shift. Ask us if you would like your project completed outside business hours.

How long it takes to complete a mural depends on the detailed required. Some businesses need intricate work and this takes a little longer. A four metre square area will usually be completed in a week.

Suggestions for Murals

We can paint anything you like as long as it’s legal. Images can range from a fine art painting, children’s imagery, and three dimensional illusions to corporate graphic design.

Murals strengthen your customer’s brand recognition in your space. Murals can create ambience and a sense of increased space. This is valuable in areas difficult to inhabit due to structural or other environmental constraints.

There are so many great ideas that can be used for a Mural painting. It’s great when an idea works in the space you have. Magazines are an excellent source of materials and ideas. Books on architecture, gardening, African wildlife, history can be a great start.

The Australian landscape is another inspiration as the vast land formations and colour are so varied. For instance the beautiful wetlands and pink lilies in the billabongs of Kakadu. Also the Katherine Gorge and the waterfalls of Litchfield national park in the Northern Territory. Other insights can be also be taken by the Great Barrier Reef and the luscious green Daintree rainforest in sunny Queensland. Furthermore the rich red colours of an aerial view of Ayres Rock or a distant view of Mt Olga of central Australia.

Your local library is also a wonderful resource. Your own personal photographs of family, favourite subjects and outings are useful also.

Marlena Art can paint more specific subjects such as designs from wall paper and fabric or design elements that already in your home/office that you want to accent in other areas.
