 Testimonials Central Coast Grammar (Erina Heights) We were impressed with the friendly yet organised service that Marlena Art has given. We felt that all our ideas were heard and noted. The methodical approach that followed was clear and concise. The Mural design plans and colour scheme were what we had discussed. The two wonderful murals Marlene has completed for us – are a beachside scene and a student assisted mural based on Amnesty International core beliefs of creating awareness about human rights. Both have been received very positively by staff and students, and have given life to two previously drab areas. It was a pleasure to work with Marlene on these projects, and I highly commend her work. Marlene and her team are not only exceptionally talented in their field but also real people who deliver more than a mural service. David and Anne (Westleigh) Our mural shows Anne’s favourite dress from the 1970’s, with a Japanese design in silk, and the shoes that went with it. We would like to have displayed the dress on a stand, but we have two cats and the dress would not have lasted for long. Instead, we asked Marlene to produce a near life-size representation of the dress and shoes on a wall in the hall of our house. The mural shows the dress pinned to the wall, complete with the pins. The complex design on the dress is reproduced in the original colours, with the shadows formed by folds in the dress. The shoes look as though they are hanging from a peg above and to the right of the dress. Many visitors have admired the mural because it looks sensational. For us, each time we see the mural, it stirs the fond memories of that dress. Only the cats are unimpressed. |
